Nigeria's Most Beautiful Exports

Nigeria has produced beautiful women in different fields, from beautiful models, singers, to actresses, Nigerian women have taken center stage and stand out in beauty elegance and poise. The following women have been selected as Nigeria's most beautiful exports.




Agbani Darego

Her full name is Ibiagbanidokibubo Asenite Darego
-Won the Miss World competition in 2001, becoming the first black African woman to win the title
-After she won the Miss World competition, she was named as an honorary member of the Council of Chiefs in Lagos, an extraordinary honor for a woman as young as she was and one that made her the country's youngest chief
-Darego landed a three-year contract with L'Oreal, the cosmetics giant, during her tenure as Miss World
-Agbani is a born-again Christian and does not drink or smoke
-She was featured in an Essense Magazine spread in 2006
-She is signed to Next Model Management, and is currently pursuing a modeling career in Europe



Omotola Jalade

Omotola has fast become one of the top names in the Nigerian movie industry. Listed as one of Time Magazine's most influential people in the world, Omotola has taken Nollywood to the world.






Adaeze Yobo

Once Adeaze igwe, she is now Adaeze Yobo.

-Was crowned the Most Beautiful Girl In Nigeria in 2008 and went on to Represent Nigeria in the 2008 Miss World Pageant in South Africa
-She represented Nigeria's Anambra State in the competition
-Adaeze is president of her own charity The Adaeze Igwe Foundation, an organization which promotes AIDS and Breast Cancer awareness, and raises funds towards similar causes, including malaria and tuberculosis
-She won her title at just eighteen years old
-She plans to pursue her modeling career after her reign






Oluchi Onweagba

-Her first name means "God's Work"
-Won the M-Net "Face Of Africa" competition in 1998 when she was just seventeen
-Has been on the cover of Italian Vogue, as well as countless other magazines
-Has been featured in ads for LancĂ´me, The Gap, and Victoria's Secret
-Has been in fashion shows for high fashion entities like Chanel, Gucci, Christian Dior, Tommy Hilfiger, Victoria's Secret, John Galliano and Kenneth Cole
-Signed a cosmetics contract with Cover Girl in 2004
-Has been featured in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue four times, from 2005 to 2008
-In 2008, she launched a modeling agency in South Africa, OModel Africa






Genevieve Nnaji

By far one of the Biggest names in Nollywood, Genevieve has been regarded as the face of Nollywood for a long time. Her beauty sets her apart and she has also featured in some independent Hollywood productions.


Natasha Agard
Says her mom, who is a former model, is her greatest inspiration -Her mother is Nigerian and her father is from Barbados
-Has walked in fashion shows for D.C. Fashion Week , Black Music Fashion Week, Haute Magazine, and Xzuberance Apparel
-Has been featured in publications such as Haute Magazine , the ByNatue Calendar, Cranberry Clothing catalog, Xzuberance Apparel catalog, and was a Top 20 model in the Karl Kani Campaign competition



Shade Adu

Her full name is Helen Folasade Adu (Her name, Folasade, means honour confers a crown)
-She was a model before making her mark as a singer
-She achieved success in the 1980s as the frontwoman and lead vocalist of the popular British and Grammy Award winning English group Sade.
-Sade's debut album, Diamond Life, was released in1984 in the United Kingdom where it achieved 4x platinum success
-On 13 July 1985 Sade performed at the Live Aid at Wembley Stadium in London. Sade Adu became the only African-born artist to appear in front of the live audience of 75,000, and an estimated worldwide television audience of 1.4 billion in 170 countries
-After the release of her second album Promise, Sade won the Grammy Award for best new artist
