The Super Eagles are Back!

10/2/2013 is a date a lot of Nigerians will remember for a while. Especially in the Footballing World. Yipee!!!! It was the day the Super Eagles lifted the African Nations Cup after Donkey years. To tell the truth, a lot of Nigerians had written off the Super Eagles. Just like any relationship, several heart breaks can lead to lethargy in any relationship. Nigerians once had a very loving relationship with the Super eagles especially after the 1994 Eagles magic, but after years of disappointment, the love was lost.

But yesterday, they definitely got the love back!  This Team had its heroes in Chris Mba who scored the winning goal, Victor Moses who has been phenomenal all through the competition, Emenike the Highest Goal Scorer, Enyeama who saved us at the goal post countless times, Mikel Obi who marshalled the midfield, every member of the Team, and the Head Honcho, the main Super Hero, Coach Steven Keshi...what started out as a dull story at the start of the competition turned into a beautiful love story between the Eagles and over 150 million Nigerians.

Yusuf Grillo's Art

Yusuf Grillo was born in Lagos and attended Nigerian College of Arts, Science and Technology, Zaria, where he received a Diploma in Fine Arts and a post-graduate diploma in education. In 1966, he left Zaria for the academic halls of Cambridge University and later traveled to Germany and the United States of America.

Grillo is considered one of Nigeria's outstanding and academically trained painters; he emerged to prominence and international recognition in the 1960s and 1970s, while exhibiting a large collection of his early works. He makes use of his western art training in many of his Paintings, combining western art techniques with traditional Yoruba Sculpture characteristics. His preference for color blue in natural settings paintings, is sometimes similar to the Adire or resist-dye textiles used in Nigeria...

Iyanya Joins forces with Wizkid to bring you another banger. Enjoy Sexy Mama.

Fascinated by the Super Eagles

Just like the way I am fascinated by Andy Warhol's paintings, I am fascinated by the world and the Super Eagles of Nigeria. When I watched their first two games in the African Nations Cup, myself and so many people never believed the present Team could go very far in the competition, now I would say I am their favorite fan.

The same Eagle's that struggled with Ethiopia in the preliminaries gave Mali a 4-1 lashing, fascinating won't you say. I hope they do win the Nations Cup so I can get an excuse to party...yeah...would we not always find an excuse to party?

Up Eagles! I hope you keep fascinating me till you win the Cup, it would make a lot of people happier than they usually are.

Stella Jean S/S '13 Collection! Awesome collection by Stella jean Haitian/Italian Designer using touches of Ankara! We totally love it.

AfroBeats take Over

Don't dull...Afrobeats is set to take over. Rewind a few years ago when Nigerian clubs would rock with foreign songs and it was also pretty weird to hear a Naija song jamming in a London club. All of that is now a thing of the past, Nigerian songs have taken over Nigerian clubs and our hit songs are also hits in UK and American clubs.

Well, I guess its take over time. We wait for the day when a Nigerian will get a Grammy award.

Why I fell in love with Lil Miss

Joor oooo...her popular line on the JJC All Star track Se n Gbomi, with a uniquely tinged sonorous voice and lots of energy that completely contrasts her petite size. The adorable Lil miss caught my heart immediately the first time her saw her on stage, her smile was infectious, and her gestures exposed a true love for what she was doing.

I thought to myself...Nigerians should love this babe. She had this vibe that caught on and before I knew it I was on my feet dancing with lots of other people around me. A former member of JJC's Big Boy group, I really don't know if she's still part of the squad.

If I said I fell in love with this Singer from afar I would not be lying, and if I said she had the potential to make other Nigerians fall in love with her and her music, I would not be too far away from the truth. So the next time you see the then Super star in the future, just know that I told you first...I fell in love with her first, and you all just followed.

Check out Patewo by Lil Miss...beautiful song I say
