Kevin Okafor's ARt is Sure Real

If you were told that this image of Tinie Tempah is pencil and paper, would you believe it? But no matter how real it looks, it is not. The amazingly realistic pencil art is by Univeristy of Middlesex Nigerian Artist, Kevin Okafor, who is currently creating a lot of Buzz with his Art works.

Apart from Tinie Tempah, he has also ,made Arts works of other celebrities like Rihanna, Bey and others and some of his Art works go for between £8000-£10,000.

Wizkid Joins Tinie Tempah

Wizkid is apparently disturbing London Big Time!!! The EME signee just joined Tinie Tempah's management Team, giving him a bigger platform and keeping him in london with Tinie Tempah most of the time. I must say his rise from the young artiste that started his trade in Surulere, Lagos, to one of Nigeria's most recognized Musical Acts is nothing short of phenomenal.

I wonder how long the EME structure will hold on to this kid, I guess they just have to keep a good agreement, not to take nothing from EME which is one of the labels that has been able to pay attention to details especially with their stage craft.

Like they say some are born great and others have it shoved at them, I think Wiz has the right dose of both, and I have the feeling we are yet to see all he has to offer.

Legend of Ngong Hills

Legend of the Ngong Hills, awesome story...loved it.
Based upon a Maasai folktale, 'The Legend of Ngong Hills' is the creation story of these magnificent hills that backdrop present day Nairobi, Kenya...

The humongous and frightful Ogre of the forest, who has a habit of attacking the Maasai village, falls in love with the beautiful young maiden...a story of greed, tyranny and courage.

Random 11: Japanese Thriller shot by Tony Sebastain Ukpo

On February 29th 1996, 11 people were found dead in Tokyo, Japan. This was the start of a series of events that will span a decade long investigation to find a notorious serial killer. Random is a movie set in modern day Tokyo Japan, an interesting Suspense Thriller, written and directed by Nigerian Tony Sebastian Ukpo. The awesome thing is that it is totally in Japanese. The dude must have stayed long in Japan, just a thought.

We are proud of him though, and it shows that Nigerians are all over the world excelling in their various fields.

You can check out the Random 11 Trailer.

Tyler the Creator is Nigerian

I just found out that Tyler the Creator, who won the best new Artiste in 2011's MTV VMAs is also Nigerian. He joins the likes of Wale, Chamillionaire, Tinie Tempah, on a list of international Acts of Nigerian Descent. Known for his wierd but highly creative music and the founder of the Neo-creative hip hop band OddFuture. Tyler Gregory Okonma has been on of the most creative intros to hip hop with the likes of Frank Ocean also been part of Odd Future.

Okonma also creates the Artwork for the group's release and also designs all the group's clothing and other merchandise. He has also co-directed some of the groups Music Videos. Here's the video that got him the 2011 MTV VMAs.

The Kick: Wande Coal ft Don Jazzy

I really got the kick out of Wande Coal's new hit single 'The Kick' ft Donjazzy in his scintillating voice and his off the chain beats. I must say Don Jazzy delivered on this beat and I must have had 'the kick' on replay all day. I need a kick! kai!

Its Burna Boy!

Its Burna Boy!!! You might choose to agree with me or not, but Burna Boy has brought something new and fresh to the Nigerian Music scene. Blending his hip hop back ground with some 80's funk and some 90's vibe, he was able to create a unique blend of music that has captured the heart of Nigerians. He has not only succeeded in creating club bangers, but club bangers with good rhythm, good musical depth and a whole lot of soul.

His sense of style is also unique, and fresh, so fresh he had other Artistes 'codedly' trying to dress like him. He brought new swag, new juice, and new vibe to the Nigerian Music scene and we love every moment of it.

Jimi Jay's Effing Scrap Book page 2

This page covers some events that took place in 2012's Occupy Nigeria protests, where the people stood up to protest against Government's insensitivity. For Nigeria to work the Government must care for its people and make policies that will favour the people and improve their standard of living.

Obi Somto's Photography is Art

They say Photography is the Art of creating images, and good photography transcends beyond depicting an image but creating Art out of images. That is how I would describe Obi Somto's photos...Art. The beauty and depth of his photos give makes them enjoyable, sometimes, its as if you are watching a movie. You can view some of his photo's here and also visit his website www.obisomto.shutterchance.com to see more of his amazing photographs.

Black Magic's Tommorow

I really like Black Magic's Tomorrow and most of his other songs. It shows a certain maturity and reflects the growth of Nigerian Commercial Music, testifying that a good knowledge of music and rhythm won't harm you as a musical Artiste.

His style blends Afrobeat, a sublime R&B Buzz and the right dose of Hip Hop. Enjoy Tomorrow  by Black Magic and tell me what you think.

Game of Thrones Rocks!!!

Game of Thrones Rocks!!! That is just the simple conclusion of probably the most interesting series I have seen in all of my one thousand years of living. Its a mix of Lord of the Rings meeting Rome and everything in between. With the perfect blend of scheming, strategy, betrayal, Ass kissing, murder, jealousy, and all those things known with medieval kingdoms and sprinkled with just the right amount of magic, it is unlike anything I've ever seen.

I saw both season one and two and wanted to watch them all over again, but I had to hold myself. Yeah, I had to...it was hard, but I knew I just had to, if not I would I spent my whole week indoors. if you've not seen it, you can check it out and see what I'm talking about yourself.

Asap Rocky: The new High of Hip Hop

When I first heard about Asap Rocky and his sense of style, I wondered what this young dude was all about and how different he was from other Hip Hop Artistes. Then I saw the way he dressed and his sense of style and knew there just might be something different about this guy.

From his sense of style to the Cerebral beats that accompanied most of his music, you would sense an Artiste that wants to create a new style and sound and I must admit that he is actually succeeding at doing just that.

Asap represent a street boy that is true to street culture but has decided to add a mix of cosmopolitan freedom that is laced with both the avant-garde and surreal. Purple kisses is a drug laced tune of youthful exuberance and creative experimentation that hits the nail on the head on how the mind of drugged out, carefree youth works. But, hey, what's hip-hop without the right doses of Sex and Drugs, Asap blends these well to not just create a new sound, but a character that gets people interested in wanting to know more and more and more, similar to the drug laced tunes of his music, it is quite easy to get hooked on a lil Asap dose and crave for more till you are addicted to his sound.
